This beautiful displacement pilot house styled trawler cruiser was commissioned by well-known corporate tycoon, (the late) Mr. David Aspinall (Bell Corporation WA) in 1982 and she still bears the name of out of his wife to this day. MV Kathleen was there to watch Australia 11 begin its journey and the vessel actually has a model plaque of the famous 12 M above the galley gifted by the syndicate, such is era and vintage. Built by the well-known Ocean Alexander factory, she oozes old establishment, having said that she needs some touch up work to bring her back to former glory. The hull is F/Glass with twin shafts all in great condition. She is powered by twin Cummins 270HP diesel engines (3,400 hrs. - new alternators) and supported by an 8.5KVA Onan Genset. She cruise's gracefully at 8-9 knots. The engine rooms are in good condition easily accessed. She has parquetry floors in the main saloon, with a proper old, styled galley eutectic fridge. The main saloon caters for lounge and dining and contains the full serviced galley. A Set of stairs lead to the main Queen Stateroom, and two guest cabins and separate "watch room". Another set of stairs leads to the pilot house and main steering station, with a further stair to the upstairs station and generous top deck. There is great headroom throughout. She has easy to understand circuitry and fuse boards and has been upgraded professionally to LED lights, new Victron 3000W inverter equipment and 600 AH of Lithium. Solar panels keep the vessel charged whilst at mooring or anchor. She is guided by Raymarine, Plotter & Autopilot with Furuno Radar all working. Large spacious rear deck enables easy living and afternoon sundowners. Beware! Potential buyers can only add appropriate "deck chairs"! A large Stainless steel BBQ completes the afterdeck. She has full walkaround side decks and teak is in good condition. The vessel comes with a tender and 15HP outboard and all equipment is in serviceable condition. It even has a dive compressor.
