		Dehler 46 Competition - Blakey
The Dehler 46 is built for those who crave speed without compromise. From the cutting-edge Judel/Vrolijk design team, this yacht delivers razor-sharp performance with exceptional stability and precision handling. Lightweight construction, a powerful sail plan, and advanced rigging make it a formidable competitor on the racecourse--while still offering the versatility to cruise in style. For sailors who demand both adrenaline and innovation, the Dehler 46 is the ultimate choice.
"In race mode Blakey is a rewarding boat to sail and responds to trim, heel angle and modes like a Grand Prix race boat. Blakey is an extremely quick example of the Dehler 46 as shown at 2023 HIRW when she came straight out of the blocks with two bullets, highlighting this boats potential. For competitive IRC racing and luxury cruising she offers the best of both worlds. " Paul Eldrid
Speed & Performance
Powerful Hull Design: With its modern Judel/Vrolijk hull lines, wide beam carried aft, and optimized weight distribution, the Dehler 46 delivers excellent speed both upwind and downwind.
Light & Stiff: Built with a vacuum-infused sandwich construction, it's light yet extremely rigid, translating into responsive handling and fast acceleration.
Race-Ready Rig: The high-performance rig, deep keel options, and carbon bowsprit make it capable of thrilling speeds, often exceeding 8-10 knots reaching and holding its own in competitive regattas.
Twin Wheels & Deep Rudder: Perfect control under sail and motor, even at high heel angles.
Comfort & Style
Luxury Interior: A beautifully finished interior in rich woods like teak or oak, with high-end upholstery and modern LED lighting.
Spacious Layout: Wide beam provides generous cabins, a U-shaped saloon, and a functional L-shaped galley--perfect for long passages or entertaining at anchor.
Premium Feel: Flush hatches, sleek coachroof, and a clutter-free deck give the yacht a truly elegant, contemporary look.
In short, the Dehler 46 is fast enough to win races yet refined enough to cruise in style. It's a boat that makes sailors smile--whether you're pushing hard in a regatta or relaxing on a sunset sail.

The upwind race sails utilise our 4T FORTE(TM) 325R composite structure incorporating high modulus fibres such as STR(TM), a new low stretch component of MMS(TM) technology which eliminates both glue and the mylar film. The main has a 5 batten 1 full 4 short race layout with 2 reefs, a J2 with upgraded engineering and structured luff for much wider wind range and a J4 of the same tech. All sails finished to grand prix spec and have a One SD Chip fitted for verification. We made a full sized A2+ which again was grand prix spec Superkote 90/80/75 hybrid with retriever system and Zip-pack system, and we built an IFS structured luff cable-less Code Zero, fitted with a Karver furler and cable less head and tack thimbles.
