Nantai 37 Sloop |
Nantai 37 Sloop.
Built in Taiwan in 1982 this Nantai 37 sloop was originally sailed to Australia from the US. Full of character, she has distinctive wooden carved inlays in the doors that set the mood of this boat. Her internal timber work is lovely and shows off the craftsmanship of the builders.
'Karma' offers a solid, high freeboard, ocean cruising yacht for the solo/short handed passage-maker and long term cruising. But also offers all the comforts to make an exceptional live aboard opportunity.
Accommodation includes a large double bed aft cabin with separate ensuite, and a large double V Berth cabin with its own ensuite. The settee is a set up as a day bed and doubles as an extra berth plus dinette.
Hot and cold water in the showers and galley are fed from 450+ lts of fresh water in 4 tanks under the sole and settee. Large diesel storage is also in 2 steel tanks under the floors.
The naturally aspirated 38hp Yanmar diesel has very low hour and has been kept in great condition. Also on board is a Monitor wind assisted steering plus a quadrant mounted Coursemaster autopilot and a bonus bow thruster for short handed docking and close manoeuvring.
Full boat cover helps to keep the teak decks cool, plus the solar panels mounted aft above the cockpit act as extra shade along with the bimini.
Overall, this is a very pretty boat with loads of special character features. Exceptionally good value for this roomy yacht. They just don't build them like this anymore.
