St Jude was the last of the Sydney 47`s to be built at the Azzura yard in 2007, she was laid up using high tech Kevlar laminates over foam core with the aim to save weight in the hull & deck layup.
Her offshore racing pedigree as the top performing Cruiser Racer in Division 2 is well known. With race wins & podium finishes in the last 3 years CYCA Blue Water Series:
2016 1st- Division 2 IRC & ORCi in her original format.
2017 saw major modifications including a New Hallspar High Modulus Carbon rig and boom plus EC6 carbon rigging fitted to the yacht. A new fully milled keel & blub along with other modifications including Fuel tank moved forward, Light weight Floor boards along with numerous other "attention to detail items" which left no stone unturned & transformed the boat into a consistent Podium contender.
Lightening her displacement by over 1000 kgs whilst retaining the same righting moment and achieving these incredible IRC & ORCi successful results (detailed below) against very stiff competition.
2017 - 1st Division 2 IRC & ORCi Blue Water Pointscore - 3rd Overall- IRC & ORCi Divisions 1 & 2.
2018- 2nd Division 2 IRC, 1st ORCi Division 2 - 3rd Overall IRC & ORCI Divisions 1&2.
1st Division B Rolex Sydney Hobart Race 2018.
2019 - 1st Division 2 IRC & ORCi Blue Water Pointscore - 4th Overall IRC & ORCi Divisions 1 & 2
1st Division 3 Rolex Sydney Hobart Race 2019.
Member of winning team for 2019 Southern Cross Cup.
