The Bavaria Match 38 is an impressive competitive boat whilst also being a comfortable cruiser easily managed by two. Comfortable cockpit. MACH 1 has had only one owner (a local professional) and has been well maintained throughout its life. It has expensive additions with a unique Batsystem Bowsprit, improving anchoring and racing with asymmetric spinnakers. It also has the Batsystem Dinghy Davits which makes attaching a dinghy so easy, and the Davits take minutes to remove and replace when racing. It has new rigging in November 2023 and a new Furler in 2022. The engine ( its second) has been well kept with regular services. The heat exchanger and exhaust tube have been replaced in February 2024. Injectors were removed and replaced with new injectors in February 2024. All fuel and oil filters replaced February 2024. A PFM Blue management diesel treatment system (GPO6B) treats fuel before reaching the engine. It eliminates the need for fuel additives, removing water, eliminating bugs and cleans the entire fuel system so only sludge free, dry and clean fuel reaches the engine. Electrics in summary: There are two Zeus chart plotters (installed 2018, one at helm and one in cabin), there is a Raymarine Auto-helm. Wind, Speed, Navigation, other parameters all can be visible with programmable screens at the helm and mast. There is a B&G Forward looking depth sounder and a standard depth sounder. Navigation includes AIS location being transmitted and received. There is VHF access at the helm and from the cabin. There is a Uniden portable VHF handheld. New Tru design seacocks installed for all underwater seacocks in 2022. This boat has been lovingly maintained all its life by a local professional. Inspections will be impressed. It all works!
